Many years ago the roof collapsed and it was just left to deteriorate,its last use was for keeping a pig and some chickens in.

No mains drainage so we have to put in our own system.

The waste water from the house enters 2 tanks with bacteria in them to feed on the human waste,it then enters a network of perforated pipes and filters down through a metre of sand and gravel,it is then picked up by a second network of perforated pipes and exits the filter 99% clean.some of it is stored in an underground tank for watering the garden.
